Marathonas - Temple of Artemis

Marathon became famous by the eponymous battle in 490 BC between the Athenians and the Persians. Beyond its historical value, the area is known because of its natural beauty with its rich flora and its blue waters on the coast. Moreover, we will move to the ancient Vravrona in order to admire the archaeological site of the area. A key finding is the worship Temple of Artemis, which rises with a backdrop of green fields, vineyards and olive trees and is connected with ancient myths around the person of Iphigenia. Closing, the last stop of our journey will be the coastal area of Loutsa, a node between Athens International Airport and the port of Rafina.
There, we will have the opportunity to take a rest stop and have a lunch with a background of the sea. The total duration of the trip will cover about 5-6 hours.
